| Reverse description | Cybele, the Magna Mater, seated left upon a high-backed throne, wearing a turreted crown (kalathos), extending her right hand holding a patera and resting her left arm upon a tympanum (drum). A lion crouches at her feet to the left, a typical attribute of the goddess. The composition is set within a beaded border, with the Greek legend of the magistrate and city name distributed around the periphery and appearing in a cartouche or tablet in the lower field. |
