Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Clodius Albinus as Caesar facing right, with short curly hair and a trimmed beard rendered in the provincial style. The effigy occupies the central field, with the circular Greek legend disposed around the periphery within a beaded border. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial manner of the Severan period, with strong facial features and layered hair treatment.

Reverse description Cybele, the Magna Mater, seated left upon a high-backed throne, wearing a turreted crown (kalathos), extending her right hand holding a patera and resting her left arm upon a tympanum (drum). A lion crouches at her feet to the left, a typical attribute of the goddess. The composition is set within a beaded border, with the Greek legend of the magistrate and city name distributed around the periphery and appearing in a cartouche or tablet in the lower field.
