The goddess reaches back to draw an arrow from the quiver at her shoulder while holding her bow in the opposing hand, depicted in a dynamic hunting posture. The reverse legend names the local magistrate Artemidoros as archon and identifies the civic authority of the Hierocaesareans. The composition reflects the city's strong cultic association with Artemis, whose sanctuary was renowned throughout Lydia. |
