| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, portrayed three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays characteristic youthful features consistent with Gordian III's portraiture. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the coin's field, partially legible through surface patination.
