| Reverse description | Apollo seated left upon a rocky outcrop, his body in repose with one arm resting on a tripod set beside him. In the field to the left, a table bearing an amphora is depicted, referencing cultic ritual context. Adjacent to the rock, a griffin is prominently rendered, an attribute closely associated with Apollo in Mysian iconography. The composition reflects the local veneration of Apollo at Germe, with the arrangement of cult objects lending the type a distinctly hieratic character. The reverse legend runs around the field, naming the local magistrate Aristonikos and the civic ethnic of the Germeans. |
