| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with the left shoulder-guard of the cuirass raised. The effigy displays typical provincial portraiture of the mid-third century, with a youthful facial type. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters. |

| Reverse description | Apollo standing facing in the field, nude or lightly draped, holding a plectrum in his right hand and a lyre in his left. He is flanked on his right by Artemis in huntress guise and on his left by Asclepius, who holds his serpent-entwined staff. The grouping of three deities reflects the civic religious traditions of Germe. The reverse legend naming the local magistrate Aristoneikos runs around the composition. |
