| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible across the left shoulder and the cuirass details discernible at the truncation. The imperial effigy occupies the central field in a bold, provincial style characteristic of Lycian mint output. A circular Greek legend runs along the periphery, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is slightly irregular and the surfaces display a dark olive-brown patina consistent with prolonged circulation. |
