Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from behind in three-quarter rear view, a presentation typical of provincial civic coinage of the mid-third century. The radiate crown is visible above the head, and the paludamentum drapes over the left shoulder. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily patinated, consistent with a provincial bronze issue struck by hammering.
