| Reverse description | A tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, set upon a podium of three steps, with an arcuated (arched) lintel between the outer columns surmounting the entablature. Within the intercolumniation, a standing female figure is shown facing left, holding a sceptre in her left hand and an uncertain object in her right. The architectural rendering reflects the standard civic temple type common to Asia Minor provincial coinage of the third century. The ethnic legend ΑΝΤΙΟΧΕΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. |
