| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Maesa facing right, diademed, with hair elaborately dressed in the manner typical of Severan-era imperial women. The effigy is rendered in the conventional provincial style of the Smyrnaean mint, with the bust truncated at the shoulder. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, partially legible on this example due to surface wear. |
