| Reverse description | A large agonistic crown rendered in wicker-work style occupies the upper field, flanked by two tall palm branches rising on either side — the canonical type for festival coinage commemorating the Elagabalia games. The crown rests upon a rectangular inscribed base or table bearing part of the legend, with additional inscribed lines below in the exergual area. The circular peripheral legend records the civic and religious titles of Sardis in full, referencing the city's triple neocorate status and the presiding magistrate. |
