| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Carian mint. The emperor's portrait is executed with moderate relief, showing the characteristic features of his mature iconography. The encircling Greek legend runs along the outer field. The flan is of irregular shape, typical of provincial bronze coinage of the mid-second century AD. |
