Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Aemilian facing right, portrayed three-quarter from the rear in the late Roman provincial style. The radiate crown is rendered with pronounced points above the head. The paludamentum drapes over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is visible at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature.
