| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Ephesian coinage. The emperor's portrait displays characteristic realism with strong facial features. The encircling Greek legend ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙΑΝΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor as Vespasian Caesar Augustus. |

| Reverse description | Facing cult statue of Artemis Ephesia standing erect in the centre of the field, depicted in the characteristic xoanon form with supports or stags flanking her sides, her multiple breast ornaments and tightly wrapped lower body rendered in schematic fashion consistent with the sacred image housed in the great Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. The ethnic legend ΕΦΕΣΙΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. |
