(Translation: Emperor Caesar Publius Licinius Valerianus)
Reverse description Athena standing left in full figure, clad in chiton and peplos, resting her right hand upon a large round shield set on the ground and holding an upright spear in her left hand. The goddess wears a crested helmet, and her stance is static and hieratic, typical of the Trallian civic bronze coinage of the mid-third century. A two-line Greek legend occupies the surrounding field and exergue, naming the grammateus responsible for the issue and identifying the city of Tralles.
