| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style characteristic of early 2nd-century Roman provincial coinage. The effigy displays strong facial features with a short neck truncation. A continuous Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, invoking the emperor's full titulature. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hammered provincial bronze issues. |
