Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic provincial style. The effigy displays the emperor in military attire, with the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within a beaded border. The portrait treatment is consistent with the provincial coinage tradition of the Lydian city of Philadelphia during the Severan period.
