Reverse description Artemis Ephesia standing facing in the characteristic hieratic pose, wearing a kalathos (cylindrical crown) upon her head and displaying the distinctive multi-breasted or egg-adorned torso of the cult statue. Lateral supports, likely in the form of stags or ceremonial poles, flank the goddess on either side, faithfully reproducing the celebrated cult image housed in the great Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. The reverse legend identifying the goddess is distributed across the field.
