Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The portrait displays the youthful features characteristic of Caracalla during the co-reign with his father Septimius Severus. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the bust within a beaded border. The overall style is consistent with the provincial Greek coinage of the Smyrna mint in the Severan period.
