Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back, adorned with a stephane-style diadem. The effigy is rendered in typical mid-third-century provincial style with visible drapery folds at the shoulder. The legend encircles the bust within a dotted border, reading MARCIA OTACILIA SEVERA AVG.

Reverse description The personification of Dacia stands facing left, wearing the distinctive Dacian cap (pileus), holding a curved sword (falx or sica) in one hand and a vexillum inscribed D F in the other. To the left, an eagle stands facing left with head turned right, holding a wreath in its beak, symbolizing Roman imperial authority; to the right, a lion stands facing left, referencing the province's military strength. The encircling legend reads PROVINCIA DACIA, with AN I in the field indicating the first year of the Dacian provincial era.
