| Obverse description | Draped bust of Otacilia Severa, wife of Philip I, facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back in ridged waves, secured at the nape. The effigy is rendered in typical provincial style with finely modelled drapery over the shoulder. The circumferential Greek legend ΩΤΑΚΙΛ ϹΕΒΗΡΑ ϹΕΒ surrounds the portrait, identifying the empress with her imperial title Augusta (ϹΕΒ for Σεβαστή). |

| Reverse description | Tyche, the city's tutelary deity, stands facing left in full figure, rendered in long robes and wearing a turreted crown (mural crown) upon her head, symbolising the city's protection. In her extended right hand she holds a ship's rudder, emblematic of fortune and navigation, while her left arm cradles a large cornucopia overflowing with fruits, signifying abundance and prosperity. The multi-line Greek legend surrounding and flanking the figure reads ΕΠΙ ΑΡΧ ΠΟ ΑΙΛ ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝΙΑΝΟΥ ΑΦΡΟΔΕΙϹΙΕΩΝ, naming the presiding magistrate Publius Aelius Apollonianos and identifying the civic mint of Aphrodisias. |
