Reverse description Two agonistic prize crowns are depicted side by side, each ornamented and containing an upright palm branch, symbolising athletic and festival victory. The crowns rest upon a low table or base, rendered in relief, with the names of the contests inscribed within or beside them. A circular Greek legend surrounding the field records the homonoia between the cities of Hierapolis and Sardis, both holding the title of neokoros. The composition celebrates the formal civic alliance and shared prestige of the two cities through their respective sacred games.
