| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Pescennius Niger facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor is depicted with a short beard and curling hair beneath the laurel wreath, conveying an authoritative imperial effigy. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking.
