| Obverse description | Confronted busts of co-emperors: Maximinus I Thrax, laureate, draped and cuirassed, facing right, and his son Maximus Caesar, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed, facing left. The facing arrangement of the two effigies is a characteristic provincial die composition emphasising dynastic legitimacy. The obverse legend encircles both portraits, identifying each ruler by their full titulature in Greek. |
