| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, wearing the paludamentum over the shoulder, rendered in the frontal-centre convention typical of Antonine-era provincial bronze coinage. The emperor's portrait displays characteristic curled hair and short beard consistent with Lucius Verus's iconography. The encircling Greek legend reads Α Κ Λ ΑΥΡ ΒΗΡοϹ, identifying the emperor as Augustus and co-ruler. The field is plain and the flan is irregular, as is typical of locally struck Lydian provincial bronzes of this period. |
