Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, bare-headed, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The emperor's characteristic thick, curly beard and hair are rendered in the sculptural Antonine style. The Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the bust in the field, reading from the left. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with provincial hammered bronze production of the period.
