| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and segmented cuirass detail rendered in the provincial style. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, surrounded by a beaded border. The Greek legend runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The die work reflects the local Bithynian engraving tradition characteristic of early third-century provincial bronzes. |
