| Reverse description | Artemis, the huntress goddess, stands facing right in full figure, actively drawing an arrow from the quiver slung at her shoulder while her left hand retains the bow. The goddess is depicted in a dynamic pose with her garment rendered in flowing drapery, consistent with the iconographic tradition of Artemis Huntress as favoured on civic bronze coinage of Cibyra. The reverse legend encircles the type in two lines, identifying the issuing civic authority. The design is characteristic of the Greek Imperial coinage struck at Cibyra under Gordian III. |
