| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, portrayed in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation typical of provincial coinage of the period. The imperial effigy displays a laurel wreath, a draped paludamentum over the left shoulder, and visible cuirass detailing. The encircling Greek legend occupies the field around the bust. The flan is irregular and the surface shows characteristic patination of a provincial bronze issue. |
