(Translation: Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius Antoninus)
Reverse description Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, draped in a himation that falls loosely about the lower body. He holds his characteristic knotted serpent-staff (the asklepios) in his left hand, with a serpent entwined about it. The deity stands on a ground line within the field, with the lengthy civic Greek legend distributed around the entire circumference of the coin and the ethnic ϹΑΙΤΤΗΝΩΝ placed in the lower exergual area.
