Reverse description The Greek civic legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ ΝΕΟΚΟΡΩΝ ('of the Cyzicenes, temple-wardens') inscribed in four lines across the field, entirely enclosed within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base. The neokorate title proudly proclaims Cyzicus's status as an officially recognised guardian of the imperial cult, an honour granted under Hadrian and maintained through the Antonine era. The wreath border is well-defined, with individual leaves clearly articulated on both sides.
