Reverse description A hexastyle temple depicted in three-quarter perspective view to the right, its columns shown receding into the background to convey architectural depth, a hallmark of sophisticated provincial die engraving. Within the intercolumniation, a cult statue of Tyche stands facing left, holding a rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, symbolising the fortune and prosperity of the city. The temple pediment is decorated with a single pellet at its centre. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city of Nicaea in Bithynia.
