Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation characteristic of mid-third-century provincial coinage. The imperial effigy displays the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and the segmented cuirass, conveying military authority. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait field, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan surface shows the typical green-brown patina of a struck bronze from the Lydian provincial mint.
