| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Conventus of Ephesus. The emperor's radiate crown is clearly delineated, conveying his imperial and quasi-solar dignity. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the coin's field. |

| Reverse description | Hephaestus, the divine craftsman, depicted nude and seated to the right upon a low chair or stool, raising a hammer in his right hand while positioning a helmet upon an anvil with his left hand, a scene emblematic of his role as divine smith and armorer. The composition reflects standard Hellenistic iconographic conventions for the god of the forge. The ethnic legend of the Nysaeans, referencing the local magistrate Artemonianos, is inscribed around the reverse field. |
