Obverse description Draped and diademed bust of Empress Salonina facing right, her hair elaborately waved and piled, adorned with a stephane or diadem. The bust is rendered in the provincial style typical of Lydian civic coinage, with visible drapery folds at the shoulder and a lunate necklace or crescent ornament at the chest. The Greek legend is partially visible around the bust, distributed in the field. The portrait reflects the official imperial effigy as adapted by the Saittian mint workshop during the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus.
