Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation typical of provincial coinage of the joint reign. The effigy displays the emperor in military attire, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, naming the emperor in full imperial titulature. The flan is irregular and the strike moderately worn, consistent with the hammered bronze coinage of the Milesian mint.
