(Translation: to Salonina Chrysogone Augusta)
Reverse description Zeus depicted nude and striding vigorously to the right, his right arm raised and extended to hurl a thunderbolt while his left hand holds an eagle. The figure is rendered with dynamic musculature in the classical tradition favoured by the Ephesian mint for civic bronze coinage. The encircling Greek legend proclaims the city's coveted status as thrice neocorate, a mark of exceptional religious prestige in the province of Asia. A dotted border surrounds the type.
