Obverse description Draped bust of Herennia Etruscilla, Augusta and consort of Emperor Trajan Decius, facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled, adorned with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Carian civic bronzes of the mid-3rd century AD. The encircling Greek legend reads ΕΡΕΝΙΑ ΑΙΤΡΥϹΚΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the empress by name and title (Sebaste, i.e. Augusta). The flan is slightly irregular and shows a green patina consistent with extended burial.
