| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Caracalla as Caesar facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with curly hair depicted in fine relief. The portrait displays the youthful features characteristic of Caracalla's early coinage under his father Septimius Severus. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field, contained within a beaded border.
