| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, displaying the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and the scaled or ridged cuirass. The effigy is executed in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian coinage of the Severan period. A circular beaded border frames the design. The obverse legend surrounds the bust in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his titulature. |
