| Reverse description | Zeus enthroned left, depicted in the classical seated pose upon an ornate throne. In his extended right hand he holds a patera, while his left arm rests upon a tall sceptre. The reverse design draws upon the widespread Hellenistic iconographic tradition of the enthroned Zeus, commonly employed on civic bronze coinage of Bithynia. The ethnic legend of the Juliopolitans is inscribed in the field. |
