| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view as seen from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays characteristic military dress befitting the emperor's martial image. The Greek legend encircles the bust within the border of the flan. The coin surface shows the typical broad, slightly irregular flan characteristic of provincial bronzes struck at Comana Pontica. |
