Reverse description The personification of Dacia, wearing the distinctive Dacian cap (pileus), is depicted seated left upon rocks, holding a patera in her right hand and two vexilla (military standards) in her left, the standards inscribed with the numerals V and XIII, referencing the Legio V Macedonica and Legio XIII Gemina garrisoned in the province. Flanking the central figure are two provincial symbols: to the left, an eagle standing left with head turned right, holding a wreath in its beak; to the right, a lion standing left. The circumferential Latin legend names the province, while AN II in the exergual field denotes the second year of the provincial era coinage series.
