Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus I (Thrax) facing right, depicted from behind in the three-quarter rear view characteristic of provincial coinage of this period. The effigy displays the emperor's military attire with paludamentum visible over the cuirass, conveying his martial identity. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP MAXIMINVS AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination consistent with a provincial bronze issue of the Severan era.
