Reverse description The emperor standing facing, head turned to the left, clad in military dress including cuirass and paludamentum, holding a spear in his right hand and resting his left hand upon the head of a horse advancing to the right. The composition conveys imperial martial authority and reflects a type common to Bithynian civic bronze coinage of the Antonine period. The reverse legend is disposed around the field identifying the issuing city.
