| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, with short curly hair and full beard rendered in the Antonine style, draped and cuirassed. The imperial legend runs around the periphery of the flan in Latin capitals. The portrait displays the characteristic physiognomy of Verus with strong facial features and an elaborately worked beard, typical of Corinthian provincial die-cutting of the Antonine period. |
