Reverse description The Pharos of Alexandria depicted as a multi-tiered lighthouse tower rising from a base with arched openings, surmounted by a standing statue, likely of Poseidon or a Triton, with arms extended. The monument is rendered frontally in a schematic but recognisable manner, capturing the iconic character of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Flanking the tower on either side are small figures or architectural elements at the base, conveying the grandeur of the harbour structure. The date legend in Greek is disposed in the field to the left and right of the tower.
