| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Hellenistic tradition, with finely engraved laurel wreath and layered drapery visible along the truncation. The surrounding field carries a Greek imperial titulature legend. The flan is irregular, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the early second century AD. |

| Reverse description | Two standing figures facing one another in dexiosis (clasping of right hands): at left, Io depicted in a long chiton, standing right; at right, the turreted Tyche (City-goddess) of Gaza, clad in a long dress and wearing a mural crown, holding a cornucopia in her left hand. Below the central group, the Hebrew letter mem appears as a control mark, with the magistrate's reference Δ ΕΠΙ (Ч)P also present. The reverse legend in Greek identifies the mint city, and the composition reflects the syncretistic iconographic tradition of Gazan civic coinage under Hadrian. |
