| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter front view. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath atop carefully rendered hair, with the paludamentum visible at the truncation. The Greek imperial titulature runs around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the youthful features characteristic of Gordian III's provincial coinage, with a beaded border framing the design. |

| Reverse description | Demeter, the goddess of grain and harvest, depicted standing in full figure facing left, clad in a long chiton and himation. In her extended right hand she holds ears of corn, emblematic of her divine dominion over agriculture, while her left hand grasps a tall torch. The ethnic legend of the Ococleian civic community is distributed around the field, and a beaded border frames the composition. The rendering is typical of Phrygian civic bronze coinage of the mid-third century AD. |
