| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, presenting the back of the cuirass with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Smyrnaean mint, with bold, somewhat summarily executed relief. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. |
