| Reverse description | A hexastyle temple of Astarte depicted in perspective, with six columns surmounted by a pediment and a prominent central arch; the structure rests upon a stepped podium. Within the temple's cella stands the cult statue of Astarte flanked by a military trophy to the left and Nike to the right, the latter extending a wreath to crown the goddess. Before the temple facade, the figure of Marsyas appears to the right, while to the left an altar is placed between a murex shell and a palm tree — both enduring civic symbols of Tyre. The reverse legend TVRIORVM identifies the issuing city in the genitive plural form. |
